Nanion Patchliner
The Patchliner is versatile yet robust, ideal for basic research of ion channel biophysics and mechanisms of action, sophisticated assays such as heat activation, right through to routine assays such as safety screening of hERG or other cardiac ion channels in accordance with the CiPA initiative. The Patchliner is a medium throughput automated patch clamp system which comes as a 4 or 8 channel version. Experimental protocols are programmed using the PatchControlHT software which controls the Tecan robot for addition of solutions, cells and compounds, and controls the PatchMaster software for data acquisition. NPC-16 chips, the consumable for the Patchliner, can be loaded on the chip wagon and the instrument can run unattended for 48 recordings. The Patchliner is supplied as a complete system including Tecan pipetting robot, HEKA EPC10 amplifiers, NPC-16 chips, Reagent starter kit and all the required software. Add-ons for Temperature control, Cooled CellHotel and dynamic clamp (Dynamite8) are also available to expand the experimental possibilities. Our dedicated team of electrophysiologists and engineers are committed to continuous in-house assay development, software and hardware advancements, ensuring fast and custom-tailored solutions for your assay demands.
Nanion SyncroPatch 384
The SyncroPatch 384 is an automated patch clamp instrument with 384 recording channels incorporated into a state-of-art liquid handling robot. It can be used for screening large compound libraries but also for smaller screens and assay development using the 32-well mode of operation. This allows the instrument to be literally turned into a lower throughput instrument, using a fraction of the chip and pipetting head in multiples of 32 wells. The rest of the chip can be used over several days which takes further advantage of the economical price of the NPC-384 chip. The SyncroPatch 384 also includes a sophisticated temperature control which can cool as well as heat, this can be used to maintain a constant temperature or to activate cold-activated ion channels. The SyncroPatch 384 can be used in all stages of drug discovery, from hit discovery through lead optimization to safety pharmacology, and can also be used for complex biophysical analysis of ion channels in academic research. The SyncroPatch 384 is supplied as a complete system including the Biomek i5 pipetting robot, Tecella amplifier with 384 channels, NPC-384 chips, Reagent starter kit and all the required software. Temperature control, Cooled CellHotel and current clamp are all provided as standard.

Micromanipulator
Scientifica Manipulators (Scientifica PatchStar Micromanipulator)
The perfect electrophysiology micromanipulator – from single channels to in vivo field recordings.
The globally recognised PatchStar micromanipulator is perfect for electrophysiological recordings. The stable design and ultra-quiet electronics mean you can perform long-term patch clamp experiments and record even the smallest signals. The PatchStar's compact footprint and incredible versatility means it can be configured to fit around any sample, at any angle, in vitro or in vivo. The intelligent design and automated control enables you to reliably change and position your electrodes quickly and easily.Narishige Stereotaxic Micromanipulator (MM-3)
Long cherished by many pioneering users, this manual micromanipulator features a smooth drive and stable controls which are derived from advanced and successful technologies. One-axis fine movement in the same direction as the microelectrode makes it possible to approach a specimen with care and caution. The three-dimensional coarse movement handle operates via a rack & pinion mechanism, enabling the microelectrode to be placed near the specimen quickly. Handles on both sides in the X- and Z-axis make this equipment suitable for both left- and right-handed operators, and tension adjustment is also available to prevent the handle from dropping under its own weight.
Sutter Micro Manipulators (MP-285 Motorized Micromanipulator)
Sutter began making micromanipulators in 1985 with the MP-85, a refined version of the venerable Huxley-style manipulator. Seeing the potential of stepper motors, Sutter went on to develop the MP-285, our first stepper-driven micromanipulator. Both the MP-285 and MP-225 use stepper motors with a cable drive design. These have been proven over the last 25 years to be very reliable in the field. Both are available with the MPC-200 controller or their original stand-alone controllers.
More recently, we have developed a new series of manipulators using a lead-screw drive. The 3-axis MP-845 and narrow format MP-865 represent a new family of compact and reliable manipulators that interface with our proven controllers. These new designs offer a more compact footprint which creates additional space for setup and access around your microscope.
Perfusion
VCPlus-8 Channel Pressurized System
Rapid focal perfusion is critical for establishing experimental conditions, such as dose response curves. Electronic control of solution exchange is the only way to ensure rapid fluid delivery and reproducibility. By using a VCPlus-8 pressure system with focal outlet, you can configure the system for very basic perfusion requirements or you can optimize the system for the most demanding applications of patch-clamp recording and/or imaging. VCPlus-8 pressure systems drive fluid by using pressure.
